The year is 2020, and the world as we once knew it is long dead. The Mutant Registration Bill has been passed in congress and all mutants are being forced to register. The heroes we once loved and looked to for aid have been forced into a life of exile and hiding what they truly are, shunned from the world for being different. Those who are considered dangerous are fitted with collars that inhibit their mutant abilities and are used to keep them under control. And when they are considered too dangerous, they are immediately arrested and sent to The Vault, a high security prison that none have ever escaped from.
The Mutant Retrieval Division roams the streets looking for non-registered mutants and arresting them without question.Made up of humans as well as mutants who have been fitted with the collars. New war machines have been built that are extremely hard to destroy and far more deadly than the Sentinels of the past. And while mankind finds itself caught in the middle of this battle, those that rally on the side of the exiled are arrested for treason and executed. And now, a greater evil than has ever been known threatens to make itself known in the midst of the fighting, and it is rumored it could very well be the end of our world completely.
That is, unless the forgotten band together and make themselves known once again. The time has come for the exiled to rise from the shadows and stand their ground against the threat. For even in the darkness, there is light for the future. The heroes of yesterday now go about their daily business by day under the government's watchful eye, while at night, they plan for their return to fight for our world while continuing to fight for our lives in secrecy just as they have for years now. As the darkness threatens to consume our world, those that have been forgotten still stand at the line of battle, pushing back the darkness for as long as they can. Even those who were once the enemies of the righteous now find themselves fighting side by side those they once fought against, all side brought together in the struggle to save the world as we know it from its very destruction.
But they cannot do it alone, and the choice has now been set within your hands. Will you stand idly by and fall into the darkness? Will you be the one trying to paint the earth black? Or will you stand your ground amongst the forgotten and hold up the lives of millions before they descend into darkness?*Friendly Staff
